Ambassador Dr. Yuriy Sergeyev – is a Ukrainian diplomat and scholar. From 1992 until 2016 he occupied senior positions at Ukraine’s Ministry for foreign affaires – Director of different departments, First deputy Minister, State Secretary and served as his country Ambassador to Greece, Albania, France, Bahamas, UNESCO, United Nations. As academician he has his Ph.D from Ph.D. from the Institute of Linguistics of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine (1987). He taught at Kyiv State University (1981-1991), Polytechnic and Agricultural Institute of Katibougou in Mali (1984-1986), Yale University (2016-2020). Since 2017 he is a visiting lecturer of UNITAR (United Nations Institute for Training and Research ) and since 2020 he is a Research Scholar at John Jay College of Criminal Justice (City University of NY). Dr. Sergeyev holds a diplomatic rank of Ambassador of Ukraine (2000), First Rank of Public Servant (2001). Ambassador Sergeyev is a member of the board of the World Information Transfer.
